Nachtacht: Basic Instinct

(jiří macek) The Berlin-based brand of Nachtacht was founded two years ago by three young designers who wanted to implement their ideas of contemporary design in their own production during their free time (nacht acht means ‘after eight’ in German). The simple construction principle of furniture, lights, and wood as the essential materials rank them side by side with designers from the London-based studio of Okay, the Belgian A1 studio, and the French brand of Moustache. Bára Prášilová: Quiksilver Woman

(jiří macek) The surfer brand of Quicksilver launches a new collection of clothes that are inspired by a creative and audacious contemporary young urban woman. The ambassadors of the collection, including singers Ellie Lawson, Anna Ledra Chapman, and Charlotte O’Connor, as well as DJ Mahara, blogger Ela Bo, and photographer Bára Prášilová, all represent this type of woman. Julien Carretero: Design Generated by the Process of Composing Music

Similar to compositions by Philip Glass, cyclical repetition and the development of the basic theme play a main role in his designs.
