(jana zielinski) We have had a look around at our neighbors and have found two interesting names in Vienna: Haischberger and Menschhorn.
Both studios presented their new porcelain pieces at the ICFF in New York this year. Whereas Menschhorn created decorated wild animals, Haischberger presented peaceful birds and butterflies on bowls and salt shakers.
The precise workmanship, excellent forms, and delicate decorations give evidence of the skill and feeling for tradition for which these contemporary Austrian designers have in common.
If you like their work, go to Vienna in autumn when the second Vienna Design Week takes place. It starts the first week of October.
