(jiří macek) Several products from the Czech Selection exhibition have caused a stir at 100% Design London. One of the most admired products is the table designed by Lucie Koldová, who graduated from the AAAD in Prague this year, for the Czech company of Process. Its drawers represent the most essential part.
Drawers of various sizes, derived from traditional paper formats, create one level of the table. The tabletop, made from sandblasted glass, reveals the structure. Thus, the user has a constant track of the objects stored inside. The drawers, reminiscent of homes and objects in the form of a changing structure, turn the six-leg table into a vivid place. Its resulting character depends primarily on the character, interests, and orderliness of its user – all these aspects have an intensive impact on the table and give away the personal traits of the user.
This accurately-made and inventive table had its world premiere in London. Its Czech premiere will take place in one week at the Process installation in Superstudio Classic 7 during Designblok.
