Boadesign: In the Light of Technologies

(jiří macek) The studio of Boadesign presents two collections of lights at Designblok. The distinct chandeliers from the Neoline collection, in which fluorescent tubes and disclosed technological elements play with classical crystal chandeliers, are a result of three-year-long research of production possibilities.

With the Neoline chandeliers above one’s head, one seems to stand below constellations, spiders, and cyber flowers. Borosilicate glass and stainless steel, disclosed starters of fluorescent tubes, and the inherent wires represent an excursion into industrial romanticism. Petr Mikošek and Michaela Vrátníková from the studio of Boadesign instilled the chandeliers with a 1m diameter, giving it the power to transfer its glowing character into any interior, following the lines of the current tendency to emphasize that lights are not only light sources, but also interior objects. The price is around CZK 25,000.
