(jiří macek) If you have problems with heaps of clothes lying on your armchair, put your trust in Danish designers – they can help you. New shapes for coat stands by Cecilia Manz and Leif Jorgensen have persuaded us that the people from the North really know what home is all about.
The coat stand by Cecilia Manz is reminiscent of a hayrack in the shape of a hastily made ladder. Cecilia claims it offers real freedom to clothes. Actually, it offers freedom to all its users. Even if clothes are scattered all over the little ladder, it will still stand out like a statue in space. Moreover, shirts and trousers can either be scattered or hung on it. The stand is made by PP Mabler.
The Loop Stand by Leif Jorgensen that was designed for the Danish brand Hay is much more conservative. In fact, it represents a new version of the traditional “coat rack” with hangers. The Loop Stand line also contains a table that is based upon the same structural principle. Both the table legs and coat stand look the same – like a tripod. Even if you are not familiar with the Hay brand, have a look at it. However, you will not find it on the Czech market. Nevertheless, you can find it easily at www.hay.dk, as well as PP Mabler.
