Ole Jensen: Emergency Refreshment

(jiří macek) There will probably be many more hot days this summer. Therefore, we have some hot news for you: go to Denmark because pocket swimming pools are sold there.

The Rubber Tub swimming pool measures 110 cm in diameter and 50 cm in height. It is made from special EPDM rubber and cork. It was designed by the fifty-year old Danish designer Ole Jensen, who describes it as “a soft tub for the body, for children and adults, for play and healing in the garden or the stylish bathroom.” Even if it is too big for your pocket, there is also a smaller version that would look brilliant, for instance, on a massive wooden table. However, it is also reminiscent of a basin.
The Normann Copenhagen company produces them in several colors. In addition, it was awarded the Design Plus award. The 30x30x16 cm version costs EUR 63.
Ole Jensen is also renowned for his porcelain designs that he creates for the classical brand of Royal Copenhagen.
