Maestrokatastrof: Where’s My Cap?

(jiří macek) The illustrator Silvie Luběnová (a.k.a. Maestrokatastrof) published a limited edition of postcards for occasions that might strike you during the course of the year. For example, the Tadá postcard is suitable for any occasion when you are feeling absolutely happy.

16 motives, each in 30 pieces, can console you if your dog dies, please you when your baby is born, or inspire you when you get married to your dream partner. According to Maestra Katastrof , these situations, such as losing your cap or the pleasure of an ordinary day, are equally important. You might also find it very useful to have a postcard that says: “What an idiot!”

“The postcards are intended to be sent mostly among friends, in situations when something important happens and you want to tell it to everybody quickly and clearly. For example: ‘Hurry up chap, let’s go!,’ or ‘Tadá - like the trumpet,’” Silvie explains. However, it is not necessary to ask for any explanations. Situations that make us use our mobile phone and call our friends are countless. Try sending them a postcard instead. The postcards by Maestrokatastrof are amazing, unexpected, and full of imagination. I wouldn’t hesitate to send them to myself!
