(adam štěch) After a several year break in bicycle research and development, the Danish brad of Biomega now launches a new bicycle model whose presentation will take place next week at Design Week in Milan. After its successful collaboration with star designer Marc Newson, Biomega invited another master of organic design - Ross Lovegrove.
Biking is increasingly important and topical in busy city environments. Danish designer Jens Martin Skibsted, who owns the Biomega brand, realized this when he was establishing his company. Thus, he caused a small revolution in the design of common city bikes.
Biomega now presents the Biolove Bamboo bicycle designed by Ross Lovegrove. The bike is made from metal components that are interconnected by bamboo in a very elegant way. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire this evolving project as part of the standard Biomega collection at Design Library on Via Savona from April 22-27. On Thursday 23, visitors are invited to ride their bikes and participate in the discussion about bicycles led by Ross Lovegrove and Jens Martin Skibsted.
