(jiří macek) From the hands of Hella Jongerius, the shades of camping lights powered by propane-butane have received a completely new form. The Dutch designer has designed them for an exhibition of projects for the Design Huis entitled Glass.
The blue propane-butane bottle is a fundamental symbol of breakfasts in the grass in front of a tent, nighttime tea, and the play of shadows amongst the trees. Thus, the shades by Hella Jongerius turn forests into temples and the fragile propane-butane lights into jewels. One could even read books about time by the light of these lamps - it has stopped still in the spectrum of the light.
