Beránek in Škrdlovice: Glass 1940-2008

BarberOsgerby: Maritime Lanterns

(jana zielinski) These fantastic, spectacular vases were designed by the British architectural duo of Barber and Osgerby for the prestigious Italian brand of Venini. Venini has its headquarters on the famous glassmaker island of Murano, which is close to Venice. The company masters ancient glassmaking methods, including glass colouring. Coloured glass has recently experienced a huge comeback - the unique blown vases by Barber and Osgerby, entitled Lanterne Marine, are the proof.   ...more
